Justin Kuczynski studied physics as an undergraduate at Stanford University. He then joined the Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology department at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he completed his thesis research in the group of Rob Knight. He is one of the primary developers of QIIME (Quantitative Insights Into Microbial Ecology), a software package for the analysis and interpretation of metagenomics and sequence based microbial ecology data. Justin is also interested in increasing the repertoire of tools available for metagenomics analyses, and improving existing analysis methods.
